Solberg Foam Fire-Brake 3150A Class A Foam - 3° C 3150A is a synthetic bush fire fighting foam agent specially designed for use on bush fires and all class A fires at an admixture rate of 0,1-1,0%, depending of the use. Its ability to reduce the surface tension of the water increases the wetting capability of the water substantially and gives a faster and better penetration into the combustible solids such as wood, paper and tyres. 3150A can be used in conventional fire fighting equipment, air aspirating foam nozzles and compressed air foam systems (CAFS) and is an effective water management tool. It can expend the volume of water at least 10 times, using the right equipment. Recommmended applications rates: Mop-Up 0,25% - Wet,suited to mop-up, quickly penetrates forest floor layers. Initial Suppression 0,5 % - Penetrates trees canopies well and drains to the forest floor layers. Back Burn 0,75% - Good for initial suppression action or forming a barrier. Protection 1,0 % - Adheres well to walls,protects seed trees and insulates well. The minimum admixture rate on other type of class A fires is 0,1% to create a better wetting of the solids and 3150A should not be mixed with other foam concentrates. It can be applied simultaneously to a fire situation where other types of foam are already in use , the product is biodegradable, non toxic and environmentally safe.
