The Ferno 390CF Carbon Fibre Spineboard is a lightweight, high-strength patient handling and immobilisation device designed to provide rigid support when moving patients with suspected spinal, pelvic, hip or lower-extremity injuries.
Manufactured from advanced carbon fibre, the 390CF weighs just 5 kg while providing an impressive 220 kg Safe Working Load (SWL). Its combination of strength, rigidity and low weight makes it ideally suited to ambulance, emergency medical, fire and rescue operations where effective patient handling and equipment portability are critical.
Lightweight, Strong & Easy to Handle
Fourteen strategically positioned, oversized handholds provide operators with multiple lifting and carrying positions to support effective manual handling. The raised and angled sides improve access to the handholds, while their curved profile provides a secure and comfortable grip—even when wearing gloves or when patient restraints are fitted.
Wedge-shaped head and foot ends assist with positioning the spineboard in confined spaces and during vehicle extrication, while the angled edges facilitate patient log-rolling procedures.
Multiple Patient Restraint Options
The Ferno 390CF features 26 Speed Clip pins positioned around the board, providing flexible patient restraint and packaging configurations.
Two dedicated shoulder harness slots provide additional restraint options, while compatibility with ambulance stretcher patient harnesses assists with patient transfer and transport from the incident scene through to hospital.
Easy to Clean & Decontaminate
The smooth, durable carbon fibre surface is impervious to body fluids and designed for quick cleaning and decontamination between uses.
Its smooth finish also assists when positioning the board between the patient and supporting surface.
