Collection: Bush Firefighting Nozzles

Nozzles used in bush firefighting in Australia typically have low flow rates. This is due to the lack of accessible water supply and the limited water storage capacity of firefighting vehicles. The flow rates typically range between 20 and 150 litres per minute (lpm) when using 20 mm and 25 mm fire hoses. Brands and nozzle types vary; multi-flow nozzles are particularly popular due to their size and weight. Combination select-flow spray nozzles are also used; however, they can be "thirsty" and should be used sparingly when water is scarce. Big Red Truck Fire Rescue has selected the following quality brands and styles based on performance and durability in extreme bushfire conditions.
